The Somerset Academy Losee Lions stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 64-28 victory over Cheyenne at home. Winning is a bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 25 to 6 on the offensive boards, as Somerset Academy Losee did.
Somerset Academy Losee's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Key Thrower, who scored 14 points along with seven steals. Thrower is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Jayla Lewis was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven assists and seven rebounds.
Somerset Academy Losee pushed their record up to 14-6 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Cheyenne, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Somerset Academy Losee will take on the Sundevils at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Eldorado comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Cheyenne, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Valley will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
