The Mile High Academy Mustangs lost against the Denver Academy of Torah Wolves back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Mile High Academy took a 43-28 bruising from Denver Academy of Torah. Mile High Academy has not had much luck with Denver Academy of Torah recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Mile High Academy still got an impressive performance from Josh Makizimana, who scored nine points along with six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Mile High Academy were smashing the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Leading Denver Academy of Torah to victory were Shmuely Brackman and Yosef Miller. Brackman scored 13 points along with five rebounds, while Miller scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for him.
Mile High Academy has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Denver Academy of Torah, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mile High Academy has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Ascent Classical Academy at 6:30 p.m. on January 16th. Ascent Classical Academy is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Denver Academy of Torah, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Vanguard Classical East at 7:00 p.m.
