Waukegan is on a three-game streak of home losses, the Panthers a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. The Waukegan Bulldogs will take on the Round Lake Panthers at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Waukegan will be strutting in after a victory while the Panthers will be coming in after a loss.
Last Tuesday, everything went Waukegan's way against the Zee-Bees as the Bulldogs made off with a 42-19 victory. The win was just what Waukegan needed coming off of a 73-20 defeat in their prior matchup.
Waukegan found their leader in underclassman Aaliaya Cade, who scored 22 points. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Cade has scored at least a third of Waukegan's points.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 55 points the game before, Round Lake were a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They were outmatched by Grant Community at home and fell 49-20.
Waukegan's victory ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-17. As for Round Lake, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-17 record this season.
