Ava got themselves on the board against Reeds Spring on Monday, but Reeds Spring never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Wolves. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won nine matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Hunter Strunk made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Mae Henry, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double. Makenna Coonts was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with two RBI.

Ava's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Reeds Spring, they dropped their record down to 5-12 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road.

Ava has already played their next game (against Gainesville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Reeds Spring, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Springfield Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
