The Hoover Vikings took care of business in their home opener on Friday. They walked away with a 51-39 win over Garfield Community Learning Center. That's another feather in the cap for Hoover, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Hoover to victory were Zac Braucher and Crew Cain. Braucher scored 11 points, while Cain scored 14 points. Robert Oster was another key contributor, scoring 7 points along with 5 rebounds.
Hoover's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Garfield Community Learning Center, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Hoover will head out on the road to face off against McKinley at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Garfield Community Learning Center does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
