The Spotsylvania Knights lost against the King George Foxes two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Spotsylvania fell to the Foxes 48-44. While losing is never fun, Spotsylvania can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 292nd, while the Foxes are ranked 130th).
Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was JAYLAH BLACK, who scored 13 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. BLACK hasn't dropped below three steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of MORGAN MASLOCK, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Spotsylvania's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for King George, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Chancellor the next time they take the court. Spotsylvania will host the Chargers at 6:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Foxes will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
