This season hasn't been kind to the Batesburg-Leesville Panthers, who are still winless after their fourth match. They were dealt a 53-8 defeat at the hands of Mid-Carolina on Tuesday. Batesburg-Leesville was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-2.
It was another big night for Addie Bowers, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds for Mid-Carolina. Bowers continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Braley Brown, who scored 10 points along with 5 steals.
Batesburg-Leesville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Mid-Carolina, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-1.
Batesburg-Leesville will head out on the road to face off against Gilbert at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Mid-Carolina, they will be playing at home against Fox Creek at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Fox Creek comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 20 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
