The Mansfield Legacy Broncos's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 70-48 defeat at the hands of Skyline. While losing is never fun, Mansfield Legacy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 310th, while Skyline is ranked 100th).
Skyline's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lily Brown, who scored 17 points along with six steals and five assists. The match was Brown's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Naiya Carney, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Mansfield Legacy has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season. As for Skyline, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season.
Mansfield Legacy will look to defend their home court on Friday against DeSoto at 6:00 p.m. DeSoto will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Skyline, they will head out on the road to face off against Lake Ridge at 2:00 p.m. on Friday.
