Baseball Game Preview: Jeannette Jayhawks vs. West Greene Pioneers

For the second straight game, Jeannette will face off against West Greene. The Jayhawks will head out on the road to take on the Pioneers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Jeannette is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past West Greene 17-2 on Tuesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Jayhawks considering their two-run performance the game before.

Jayden Kennedy was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with seven RBI and two doubles. Those four hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Amari Thomas, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Jeannette is 3-1 when Thomas posts two or more runs, but 1-6 otherwise. Evyn Yargeau also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
