The Edinburg Bobcats won against the La Joya Coyotes last Thursday with 41 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. Edinburg took down La Joya 41-27. Winning may never get old, but Edinburg sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Ryen Abrego continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 180 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. Abrego is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last three games he's played. Jude Vega did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 102 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Edinburg's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for La Joya, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Edinburg will look to defend their home field on Friday against Edinburg North at 7:00 p.m. Edinburg North is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for La Joya, they will challenge Economedes at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Economedes is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
