Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Berryhill Chiefs walked away with it. They blew past Verdigris 37-16. The victory was nothing new for Berryhill as they're now sitting on six straight.
Berryhill's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 1-9 Muldrow and 3-7 Seminole (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 33.9% over those games). As for Verdigris, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Berryhill will square off against Heritage Hall at TBD on Friday. Heritage Hall has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 617 points over their last 12 matches. Verdigris does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
