The Spruce Timberwolves will be playing in front of their home fans against the North Mesquite Stallions at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Spruce will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 664th, while North Mesquite is ranked 325th).
Spruce can finally bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand Samuell a 2-0 shutout.
Meanwhile, North Mesquite's last matchup on Friday was all defense as neither team scored a goal. They and Adams finished up their contest with a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time North Mesquite has been dealt a draw since back in January.
Spruce's victory bumped their record up to 2-7-1. With that draw, North Mesquite's record moves to 5-6-2.
Spruce suffered a grim 8-2 defeat to North Mesquite in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Can Spruce avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
