The Cimarron Rams are taking a road trip to take on the Questa Wildcats at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Cimarron's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs every time they've taken the field this season.
On Tuesday, Cimarron made easy work of Penasco and carried off a 12-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won six in a row.

Urijah Martinez was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. Martinez was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples, two runs, and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season.
In other batting news, Andrew Gonzales was incredible, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one double. Gonzales is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Zian Dimas, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Questa came out on top against Clayton on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run seventh inning. The Wildcats skirted past the Yellowjackets 7-6.
The team relied heavily on Remington Smith, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with five stolen bases and three runs. Lukas Cisneros was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three stolen bases.
Questa now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Cimarron, their record is now 3-0.
Questa's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cimarron has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12 hits per game. It's a different story for Questa, though, as they've been averaging 9.7 hits. Given Cimarron's sizable advantage in that area, the Wildcats will need to find a way to close that gap.
Cimarron got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in March of 2025 against Questa by a conclusive 12-2 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
