It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Kerman Lions can now relate to. Their rough 34-14 defeat to the Hawks on Friday might stick with them for a while. Kerman's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Adrian Torres threw for 210 yards and a touchdown. Luis Arroyo was his top target, picking up 74 receiving yards.
Mission Oak's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Daniel Gonzalez led the charge by throwing for 300 yards and four touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Another player making a difference was Achilles Sierra, who picked up 98 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Kerman's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Mission Oak, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4.
Kerman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mission Oak's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Rio Hondo Prep at 6:00 p.m. on December 2nd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Rio Hondo Prep is ranked 184th, while Mission Oak is ranked 188th).
