Kinston Crater Delivers Best Effort of Season
Starmount was led to victory by Kinston Crater, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Crater rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in November of 2023.
The win made it two in a row for Starmount and bumps their season record up to 6-1. Crater and Starmount will stay at home for another week and welcome East Wilkes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Collins Posts Huge Game in 55-6 Victory
Keeping Crater company is Luke Collins, a fellow Starmount player. He threw for 125 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 36 yards. He didn't just play on offense: he also made three total tackles and defended a pass in addition to snagging an interception.
This year, Collins has thrown 17 touchdowns while averaging 153.3 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after seven games last season, he had seven passing touchdowns.

Blackburn Came Up Big in East Wilkes' 15-10 Win
East Wilkes found a leader in Phoenix Blackburn as the squad took down Elkin on Friday. Elkin had no answer to Blackburn as he rushed for 71 yards and two touchdowns.
East Wilkes' victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Blackburn and East Wilkes are taking a road trip to challenge Starmount at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Colt Stowe Makes It Two for East Wilkes
Keeping Blackburn company is Colt Stowe, a fellow East Wilkes player. He rushed for 77 yards on only five carries. He got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 71 yards.
On the year, Stowe has averaged 63.3 rushing yards per game.
