Drury have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they will take on Monument Mountain/Mt. Everett at 7:00 PM. Drury come in off of three low-scoring performances in a row, a trend the squad is obviously eager to reverse.
Drury found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 8-35 punch to the gut against Belchertown two weeks ago. Drury were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-21.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Monument Mountain/Mt. Everett, and their match last Friday only extended their streak of losses to five. They took a serious blow against Amherst-Pelham Regional last Friday, falling 0-58. The state rankings had actually given Monument Mountain/Mt. Everett a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the win. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
