The Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) Stallions are taking a road trip to take on the St. Brendan Sabres at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a six-game winning streak alive.
If Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) beats St. Brendan with four runs on Thursday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) came out on top against Schoolhouse Prep by a score of 4-1 on Tuesday.
Ava Stevens spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits.

St. Brendan also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and she was also dialed-in: Jules Miranda gave up only one earned (and one unearned) run on eight hits. Miranda has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, St. Brendan let Madisyn Llerandi and Rachel Rodriguez run wild. Llerandi scored two runs while going 2-for-3, while Rodriguez went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Piaia, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
St. Brendan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are a perfect 7-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
St. Brendan pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Somerset Academy (Silver Palms), their record is now 8-3.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .321. However, it's not like St. Brendan struggles in that department as they've averaged .399. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) couldn't quite finish off St. Brendan when the teams last played two weeks ago and fell 4-2. Can Somerset Academy (Silver Palms) avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
