Central is on a seven-game streak of home wins, while Andrew Jackson is on a six-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Central Eagles will welcome the Andrew Jackson Volunteers at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 13 contests.
Central is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Buford: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Central blew Buford out of the water with a 69-41 final score. The Eagles pushed the score to 50-28 by the end of the third, a deficit the Yellow Jackets had little chance of recovering from.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Caden Edmond, who posted 14 points and eight boards. Edmond is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 12 games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Demetrius Myers, who earned 16 points.
Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 16 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Andrew Jackson was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past North Central 88-50. The Volunteers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight contests by 23 points or more this season.
Central better keep an eye on Bryce Peterson. He was instrumental in Andrew Jackson's win, putting up 31 points. With that strong performance, Peterson is now averaging an impressive 15.4 points per game. Damias Seegars was another key player, scoring 18 points.
Central is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.6 points over those games. As for Andrew Jackson, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as Central and Andrew Jackson are some of the highest-scoring teams around. Central hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 62.3 points per game. However, it's not like Andrew Jackson struggles in that department as they've been averaging 62.4 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can put up more.
Central came up short against Andrew Jackson in their previous matchup back in January, falling 80-69. Will Central have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
