The biggest upset of the week belonged to Trinity Presbyterian, who took down 122nd ranked Midfield, 21-12.
Comer was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from sixth to second in 3A Region 4. The Tigers vanquished Central of Coosa County 25-14 earlier in the week.
The Cougars' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Xavier Moon threw for 201 and one touchdown and Javaris Whetstone had 120 yards receiving. On the ground Quon Benson chipped in 45 yards. Justin Fuller helped Central of Coosa County's passing attack out by catching six balls for 62 yards.
Central of Coosa County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cougars feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Moon has thrown for 623 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Whetstone has 24 catches for 349 yards. Benson leads the league in rushing with 212 yards.
The Wildcats moved up to 145 from 307 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Trinity Presbyterian climbed the ranks as a result of a 21-12 win over the Patriots.
