Kreyton Wiese Turns in Season-Best Effort
Sadly, Kreyton Wiese posting his best game of the season wasn't enough to lead Wauneta-Palisade over Southwest on Friday. Wiese rushed for 253 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.2 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (114.8). Wauneta-Palisade is 2-1 when Wiese posts 80 or more rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise.
Wauneta-Palisade is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4. Wiese and Wauneta-Palisade will square off against Wallace at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

Sumner-Eddyville-Miller Wins 18th-Straight Thanks to Maddox Jones
Maddox Jones was instrumental in extending Sumner-Eddyville-Miller's winning streak to 18 on Friday. Jones was dynamite, rushing for 103 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries.
Jones must have Paxton's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. When Jones last faced the Tigers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 142 yards and four touchdowns.

Southwest took down Wauneta-Palisade on Friday, a win that might not have happened without Jacob Barber's effort. Nobody could stop Barber as he rushed for 64 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 94 receiving yards.
This year, Barber has averaged 33.8 receiving yards per game. It gets even more impressive: after six games last season, he was only averaging 5.67 rushing yards per game. This year he is averaging 77.5 rushing yards.

Jordan Scoville Delivers Electric Effort Vs Paxton
Jordan Scoville was instrumental in extending Sumner-Eddyville-Miller's winning streak to 18 on Friday. Nobody could stop Scoville as he rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per carry. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards.
Unfortunately for Paxton, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Scoville. When Scoville last faced the Tigers back in October of 2023, he rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries.

Big Game from Billeter As Southwest Won 41-39
Another Southwest player making an appearance on this list is Houston Billeter. He threw for 303 yards and three touchdowns. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in the last six games he's played dating back to last season.
Billeter and Southwest will face off against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will pit Billeter up against the Mustangs' star signal caller Chance Daake.
