Ogdensburg Free Academy is 9-0 against Potsdam since September of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Ogdensburg Free Academy Blue Devils will take on the Potsdam Sandstoners at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Ogdensburg Free Academy entered their tilt with Franklin Academy with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Ogdensburg Free Academy blew past Franklin Academy 41-12 at home. Ogdensburg Free Academy pushed the score to 34-6 by the end of the third, a deficit Franklin Academy had little chance of recovering from.
Meanwhile, after only eight points in their last match, Potsdam made sure to put some points up on the board against Massena on Friday. Potsdam blew past Massena 36-14.
Potsdam can attribute much of their success to Matt Schwartzfigure, who rushed for 204 yards.
Ogdensburg Free Academy's win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-2. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 0-10 St. Lawrence Central and 2-6 Canton (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 22.9% over those games). As for Potsdam, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.
