The Minatare Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They took a 50-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bayard. Minatare has struggled against Bayard recently, as their contest on Thursday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
Connor Cochran was on fire for Bayard: he scored 16 points along with six assists and three steals. That's the first time this season that Cochran scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Leonard, who scored six points along with five assists.
Minatare's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Bayard, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minatare won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Leyton on January 26th. As for Bayard, they will be playing at home against Bridgeport at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Bridgeport is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59.4 points per game.
