Meanwhile, Eastern Randolph got themselves on the board against Providence Grove on Friday, but Providence Grove never followed suit. They blew past the Patriots, posting a 47-0 win at home. The result was nothing new for Eastern Randolph, who have now won six contests by 21 points or more so far this season.
Carter Revelle was his usual excellent self, throwing for 155 yards and two touchdowns while completing 76.9% of his passes.
Wheatmore's loss was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-6. As for Eastern Randolph, their win on Friday bumped their record up to 7-1.
Wheatmore took a serious blow against Eastern Randolph when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 62-0. Can Wheatmore avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
