Kepple stood out for Karns City in the win. The junior quarterback threw three touchdowns.
Moniteau's lone touchdown came on a 12-yard run by
Dustin Geagan in the second quarter.
KC got revenge for last year's 26-12 loss to MHS with the victory.
The victory was a step in the right direction for the Gremlins, which was coming off a 34-12 defeat at the hands of Clarion Area in its previous game. The loss was the third in a row for the West Sunbury school.
Moniteau (0-3) will play a non-conference game against Clarion Area next week, while Karns City (2-1) will take on Union also in a non-conference game.
