The South Callaway Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their seventh straight loss. They were beaten by North Callaway 58-16. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points South Callaway has scored all season.
North Callaway's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lakyn Hartley, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. That's the first time this season that Hartley scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Blevins, who scored seven points along with eight assists and seven rebounds.
South Callaway's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for North Callaway, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.
South Callaway's road trip will continue as they head out to face Linn at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. Hopefully Linn focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday. North Callaway won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Hermann at 4:30 p.m. on January 11th.
