The Oceanside Mariners stacked a seventh blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They claimed a resounding 78-38 win over Spruce Mountain on the road. The win was just business as usual for Oceanside, who after ten games remain undefeated this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Oceanside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Carter Galley, who scored 28 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Galley is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cohen Galley, who scored 23 points along with five rebounds and five steals.
Oceanside's win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 26.4 points. As for Spruce Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oceanside will take on Belfast at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Belfast is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Spruce Mountain, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Telstar at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Telstar will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maine Rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while Spruce Mountain is ranked 34th).
