The Randleman Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the Ledford Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Randleman is hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Last Friday, the stars were shining brightly for Randleman in a 50-36 win over Wheatmore. Given Randleman's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 202nd, while Wheatmore is ranked 541st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Randleman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Connor Cassidy, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for him. Jireh Price was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Ledford, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 56-37 loss to West Stokes on Saturday.
Randleman now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Ledford, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.
Everything came up roses for Randleman against Ledford in their previous meeting back in November as the squad secured a 59-23 win. With Randleman ahead 44-9 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
