The Pine View Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 92-62 victory over Hurricane on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Pine View has managed all season.
It was another big night for Nash Schroeder, who scored 23 points along with six rebounds and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Griffen Shepherd, who scored 18 points along with six rebounds.
Hurricane lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Houston Homer, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds. That's the first time this season that Homer scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Mccauley, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Pine View has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Hurricane, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
Pine View will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Desert Hills at 7:00 p.m. on January 26th. Desert Hills will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive. Hurricane will take on Cedar at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Cedar is ranked 83rd, while Hurricane is ranked 82nd).
