The Liberty Christian Academy Eagles will head out on the road to face off against Christian Fellowship at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Liberty Christian Academy waltzed into Monday's matchup with three straight wins but they left with four. They really took it to Rivers of Life Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 42-14 victory on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-5.
Meanwhile, Christian Fellowship had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They blew past Heartland Christian Academy 52-12 at home. The team ran away with 40 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Christian Fellowship to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ariya Barton, who scored seven points along with five steals. Barton is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Brooke Grathwohl was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Liberty Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Christian Fellowship, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Everything went Liberty Christian Academy's way against Christian Fellowship when the teams last played back in December of 2022 as Liberty Christian Academy made off with a 56-31 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Liberty Christian Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
