Savio is 2-8 against the Crusaders since January of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Savio Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the St. Michael's Crusaders at 7:30 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Savio has struggled recently with three defeats in a row, while the Crusaders will arrive with nine straight wins.
Last Tuesday, Savio was beaten by the Crusaders 65-33. While losing is never fun, Savio can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1213th, while the Crusaders are ranked seventh).
Savio dropped their record down to 8-16 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for St. Michael's, their win bumped their record up to 30-1.
Savio was taken down by the Crusaders 65-33 when the teams last played on Tuesday. Can Savio avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
