Even though the Parkrose Broncos scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, the Canby Cougars still came out on top. Canby took down Parkrose 74-59. The win made it back-to-back wins for Canby.
Jack Brauckmiller was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with two steals. He continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Lawson, who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds.
The win got Canby back to even at 9-9. As for Parkrose, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.
Canby will be playing in front of their home fans against La Salle at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Canby has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 279 points over their last four contests. As for Parkrose, they will head out on the road to challenge Putnam at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Parkrose will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oregon Rankings (they are ranked 107th, while Putnam is ranked 30th).
