The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hayden in their matchups with Joseph City: they've now lost six in a row.
Joseph City found their leader in underclassman Audrey Neill, who scored 13 points along with seven steals. Neill hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. Another player making a difference was Ava Neill, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Hayden's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-21. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 7.3 points per game. As for Joseph City, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-7.
Hayden and Superior will face off at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Joseph City, they will head out on the road to take on Mogollon at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
