The Bucklin Red Aces won the last time they faced the Pretty Prairie Bulldogs, and things went their way on Friday too. Bucklin came out on top against Pretty Prairie by a score of 49-37. The win made it back-to-back wins for Bucklin.
Bucklin's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sydnie Jones, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and seven steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Jones has scored at least 25% of Bucklin's points. Another player making a difference was Karlee Evans, who scored 15 points along with five steals.
Bucklin's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Pretty Prairie, their loss dropped their record down to 4-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bucklin will be home for the holidays to greet Pawnee Heights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pawnee Heights will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak. Pretty Prairie will be home for the holidays to greet Udall at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Udall will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 301st, while Pretty Prairie is ranked 78th).
