The Los Altos Eagles are taking a road trip to square off against the Los Gatos Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Los Altos is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Los Altos couldn't beat Milpitas on Thursday even though they stacked six runs on them in the seventh inning. The Eagles fell 12-9 to the Trojans. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Sabrina Neal made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last six games she's played. Sophia Zhao also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Los Gatos gave up the first runs on Monday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top against Milpitas by a score of 8-3. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
Ava Norquist made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.2 strikeouts per game. She was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run.
In other batting news, Robyn Young was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Olivia Sickels, who went 1-for-5 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Los Gatos hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive contests.
Los Gatos' record is now 13-7-1. As for Los Altos, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Los Altos hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Los Gatos struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Los Altos suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Los Gatos when the teams last played back in March. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
