On Thursday Brad Dooly tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs off one hit, which was good enough to also set a new career-low in walks. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with less than two walks. This season, he has an ERA of 7.50 over 4.7 innings pitched.

Dooly's effort led Pleasant Valley over Foothill and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings are a perfect 9-0 against the Cougars going back to May of 2022, a lead they'll look to extend.
