After flying high against the Patterson Institute Lions last Tuesday, the Clint Lions came back down to earth. Clint had to suffer through a rough 57-27 loss at the hands of the Rangers. Clint has not had much luck with the Rangers recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Riverside was led to victory by Derek Vasquez and Richard Arellano. Vasquez scored 12 points, while Arellano scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlos D Rojas, who scored seven points.
Clint's loss dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Riverside, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a massive bump to their 11-16 record this season.
Clint will head out on the road to take on the Lobos on Tuesday. Mountain View and the Lions are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Riverside, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bowie will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.
