The Brush Beetdiggers had to endure  a  seven-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Fort Morgan by a score of  55-47  on Saturday. Brush's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most  points they've scored all season.
  Grant Becker was the offensive standout of the  match as he  scored 18 points along with six  rebounds. That's the first time this season that  he  scored 15 or more  points. Another player making a difference was  Eric Rico, who  scored three points along with seven  assists.
 Brush's victory bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Fort Morgan, their defeat was  their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  bumped their record down to 0-7.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brush will  take on Sterling at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Fort Morgan, they will head out on the road to face off against Severance at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Hopefully Severance focused on turnovers this week  since the team gave up 13 on Thursday.
