The Farmington Knights had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They snuck past Webster Groves with a 22-16 victory on Friday. The win was just what Farmington needed coming off of a 47-21 defeat in their prior match.
Farmington can attribute much of their success to Brett Drye, who rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 152 yards and a touchdown. Drye was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 56 yards. Farmington also got a significant boost from Kaesen Mcclain, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 82 yards.
Farmington's win bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Webster Groves, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Farmington will square off against Poplar Bluff at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Poplar Bluff and Farmington are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. Webster Groves will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Kirkwood at 12:00 p.m. on November 23rd. Kirkwood presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Webster Groves in Missouri (Kirkwood is ranked 28th, while Webster Groves is ranked 177th).
