The Parkers Prairie Panthers suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were dealt a 68-35 loss at the hands of Upsala. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Parkers Prairie has scored all season.
Upsala got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Primus out in front who scored 22 points along with seven steals and six assists. Primus is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Noah Boeckermann, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Parkers Prairie's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-6. As for Upsala, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with that win, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Parkers Prairie will challenge Rothsay at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Rothsay is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Upsala, they will head out on the road to square off against Long Prairie-Grey Eagle at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Long Prairie-Grey Eagle will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings (they are ranked 403rd, while Upsala is ranked 173rd).
