Southridge entered their tilt with Sunset on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Sunset Knights. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Southridge's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Sunset, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6.
