AA District 11 recap November 13, 2013
Lewis County added to the longest winning streak in AA District 11 this week by beating Fairley, 41-0. The win marks 11th in a row for the the Panthers.
Lewis County took down the Bulldogs 41-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Lucas Graham threw for 88 yards and ran for 100 yards in the win.
Graham was a passing and rushing force as Bobby Sharp's team topped Fairley. Graham's key target this week was Cody Owens, who caught 2 passes for 71 yards.
Zach Roberts put up the best numbers through the air as Hickman County beat South Gibson. He finished with a total of 7 completions for 112 yards and 2 touchdowns. Roberts' favorite target this week was Logan Hill, who caught 4 passes for 74 yards.
The Bulldogs' Roberts and Hill have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Roberts has thrown for 1,314 yards this season, while Hill has 27 catches for 682 yards. Graham from the Panthers leads the league in rushing with 1,156 yards.
Cody Bennett of the Lewis County is just 76 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. Bennett has rushed for 924 yards on 129 carries so far this year.
The Panthers are currently in first, while the Lions are in fifth.
Hickman County made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,259 from 5,121. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 34-20 victory over South Gibson last week.
