You can't lose the game if you win every quarter, and that was precisely Rolesville's strategy against Millbrook on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Rolesville Rams blew the Millbrook Wildcats out of the water with a 78-44 final score. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 26 points or more this season.

Rolesville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jahriell Murchison led the charge by going 6 of 9 on her way to 15 points and five steals. Murchison has become a key player for Rolesville: the team is 4-1 when she posts at least five steals, but 4-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Taliya Rowe, who went 5 for 12 en route to 15 points and four steals.

Rolesville was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Millbrook only racked up 13 assists.

Despite the loss, Millbrook still got an impressive performance from Lucy Ellis, who went 5 of 9 on her way to 10 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Ellis is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Julia Farris also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steal of the season.

Rolesville's win bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Millbrook, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rolesville will host Wake Forest at 6:15 p.m. on January 24th. As for Millbrook, they will look to defend their home court on January 24th against Knightdale at 6:30 p.m. Knightdale will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something Millbrook surely won't give up without a fight.
