Carrollton gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 48-21 win over the Woodward Academy War Eagles. The Trojans' offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Carrollton got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was CJ Cypher out in front who threw for 118 yards and two TDs. Another receiver making a difference was Ryan Mosley, who picked up 93 receiving yards and one score.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carrollton will face off against Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Woodward Academy, they will challenge Collins Hill at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
