There's no place like home for the Bladensburg Mustangs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Parkdale by a score of 55-42 on Thursday. This was payback for Bladensburg, who suffered a 66-57 loss the last time these two teams met.
Bladensburg was led to victory by Cannon Greene and Donta Raynor. Greene dropped a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds, while Raynor scored 16 points. The matchup was Greene's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jamari Phelps, who scored two points along with 14 rebounds.
Parkdale lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isaiah Richards, who scored nine points.
Bladensburg now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Parkdale, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-2.
Bladensburg will be home for the holidays to greet DuVal at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully DuVal focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday. As for Parkdale, they will head out on the road to face off against Flowers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Maryland (Flowers is ranked 125th, while Parkdale is ranked 145th).
