It was a good run, but the Christian Community Warriors unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 37-16 walloping at the hands of First Baptist Christian. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Christian Community has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Christian Community still got an impressive performance from Sarah Solak, who scored ten points along with four blocks. Solak hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Christian Community struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Christian Community's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for First Baptist Christian, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Christian Community will challenge Mentor Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for First Baptist Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Lawrence Upper at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Lawrence Upper is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak.
