J.Z. George will challenge East Webster on the road at EAST WEBSTER HS at 7:00 PM on Friday. J.Z. George are limping into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
J.Z. George found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 14-36 punch to the gut against Holly Springs last Friday. J.Z. George were down by 0-30 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Meanwhile, their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to East Webster, but their most recent contest may have softened the blow. They put a hurting on Strayhorn to the tune of 46-0.
East Webster's victory lifted them to 2-3 while J.Z. George's loss dropped them down to 0-5. In their win, East Webster relied heavily on sophomore Steven Betts, who passed for 164 yards and 2 touchdowns. J.Z. George will need to find a way to minimize his impact if they want to win.
