Valders has won eight straight games at home, while Chilton has won eight straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Vikings will welcome the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Tuesday, Valders made easy work of Manitowoc Lutheran and carried off a 9-2 victory. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Lancers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Megan Hochkammer made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Makayla Dallas was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Arianna Hernandez, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Chilton never let their opponents score on Monday. They put the hurt on Kiel with a sharp 12-0 victory.
Like Valders, Chilton also got a great game from a two-way player: Lauren Roehrig. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits over five innings pitched. Roehrig was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Maddie Tasch was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Gwendolyn Sell was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.
Chilton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in ten consecutive games.
Chilton is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.5 runs over those games. As for Valders, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Thursday. Valders hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Chilton struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.5 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Valders took their win against Chilton in their previous meeting back in April by a conclusive 10-4 score. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
