Maranacook will challenge Dirigo on the road at 7:00 PM on Friday. If you head out to watch the game, expect to stay the whole 48 minutes: the MaxPreps rankings predict a close match.
Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Maranacook, but their most recent matchup may have softened the blow. They strolled past Gray-New Gloucester with points to spare last Friday, taking the contest 28-12.
As for Dirigo, they had a rough outing against Freeport two weeks ago, but a little bit of home cooking seems to have fixed things right up. Dirigo took down Boothbay 24-8.
Their wins bumped Maranacook to 4-2 and Dirigo to 5-1. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Maranacook and Dirigo clash.
