Volleyball Recap: Eastview Starts Season with Victory Against Edina

Eastview took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Edina Hornets as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Lightning not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since August 29, 2024 (when they won 3-0).

While Eastview won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-12, 25-22.

Ava Montanez had an outrageously good game as she had 21 digs and two assists. Those 21 digs gave her a new career-high.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastview will challenge Minneapolis Southwest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edina, they will welcome Buffalo at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Hornets' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
