After flying high against the Brandon Eagles last Monday, the Robinson Knights came back down to earth. Robinson took a 69-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of Plant City on Tuesday. Robinson has struggled against Plant City recently, as their match on Tuesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Robinson had strong showings from LaJesse Harrold, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Jordan Mickens, who scored 17 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Zyon Floyd, who scored five points.
Robinson's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-9. As for Plant City, their victory was their 17th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2.
Robinson and Durant will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Plant City, they will head out on the road to square off against Santa Fe Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
